How to Get Rid of Moss and Clover in Your Lawn This Spring (Pacific Northwest Guide)

Step 1: Apply iron sulfate or Moss Out using the rates on the product package.
Step 2: Wait 2–3 days for the moss to fully die back. It'll turn dark brown or black.
Step 3: Rake out the dead moss.
Step 4: Overseed bare patches right away. Once the moss is out, you'll likely have thin spots or bare soil exposed. Get grass seed down before weeds fill those gaps.
Step 5: Keep seeded areas moist with light daily watering until the new grass is established, typically 2–3 weeks.
